A Letter to our Guests Regarding Covid-19

Dear Guests,

We would like to first wish you well through all this and hope you are staying healthy, with your loved ones. Covid-19 has changed all our lives. We have all had to make changes to our idea of normal and work together to do what’s best for everyone.

We understand the stress and confusion this pandemic has caused and are here to help you through it!

We have remained open as hotels are considered “Essential businesses” and we continue to be here for those in need of a safe, clean, and comfortable place to stay. We have updated our already stringent cleaning practices to be in line with the CDC cleaning recommendations.

As such, some of our usual services have changed to protect you and our staff. Our usual brownies and brandy on arrival has reduced to brandy only, as we stopped all cooking. The rooms are cleaned from top to bottom every time there’s a cleaning, even before this pandemic, so that’s nothing new.

What is new is we are now using hospital-grade sanitizers to scrub everything, especially high touch surfaces, while our staff properly wears masks and gloves. We are spending additional time and care cleaning each room, common areas, porches, and the pool area. We are giving ample time between cleaning after checkout and before allowing a new check in to protect you and housekeeping.

We have ceased in room housekeeping during your stay and implemented a new system to allow replenishing of room supplies touch free, through a basket system at your front door. Our pool is open with reduced capacity. Breakfast service has stopped altogether but we have many open restaurants and a grocery store open just outside our front door for take out and delivery.

Our rates are deeply discounted to reflect these changes in service as well. Please contact us directly for even better rates for all Front Line workers and long term stays. We have private exterior entrances for all our rooms and separate AC for every room, so there is no sharing of ventilation/air or touching the same door handle/railing. We ask that guests do not congregate with guests from other rooms, practice common sense CDC guided pandemic safety when out, and wash hands when arriving back on the property.

Cancellation policy update: For all existing bookings, we are dealing with cancellations on a case by case basis and ask that you consider moving your dates back instead of canceling if at all possible or you’re unsure. We are not a large hotel group and as such must stick to our normal 30-day policy as best we can if we want to stay in business. We really want to be here for you next year!

*We have not received any financial assistance or relief from the CARES Act or otherwise. We did all the right things but still received zero relief funds.

A personal note from us: As a small family-owned business with new owners, this hit us hard. Many of you know, we are coming up on our 3rd year of ownership and just got done renovating and improving the property immensely.

This pandemic is also hitting during what should have been our high season. Going into low season, we are just as stressed as everyone else financially. We also have our own family life with 2 daughters to homeschool and worry about as well. No matter what, we are here for you all right now and we know you’re all going to be here for us when it’s safe to travel again (or if you need a safe space to stay for now).
